Can you please tell us why you wish to move back to Zeovit again, as I remember this is not the first time but it always seems to be the same system.

Do not get me wrong David but you where never able to get ZeoVit running fine without a problem on your system, are you really sure to give it a try again ?
In your old thread I and others have tried everything to support your to get the system running but finally it has not worked.
Why do you think it will be different this time ?

Hi chercm,
I read all the main reefkeeping-related forums on internet and I often see you write that you use zeovit, then on other forum you write that you use biopellets, later I see you on third forum asking about usage of some other brand additive...
You will never get results if you keep changing everything over and over again.
What you need to do is pick one system/method and work on your dosage regimen until you achieve results that satisfy you.
Adjust dosing and wait few weeks to see results. There is no shortcut.

Hello David, there is no need to tell any of our member to shut up ! Michal just said what I was trying to tell you also in a different way. He just gave you a friendly, honest advise to help, you should be thankful therefore.
Because of your plan to go back to ZeoVit again my recommendation is the same as last time:
First of all I would recommend to download the dosing guide from:
http://www.korallen-zucht.de/files/z..._english-1.pdf
It contains a lot of useful information and will be helpful to get a feeling for the dosage.
First start with the basics products to decrease nutrients:
1. Place 1.5 liter zeovit in a Zeo Reactor. Water flow around 600 liters per hour. Connect the reactor pump to a clock timer and run the reactor pump with a 3 hour on / 3 hour off / 3 hour on interval. Please make sure the zeolite is not exposed to air while the pump is switched off. Clean the material daily. Leave the zeolite 4 weeks in the filter until you do the first change out. This is the first changing interval, others could be lengthen to 6 – 8 weeks.
2. Place 0.6 liters activated carbon in a filter sock and keep it in a passive water flow in your sump, changed every 30 days. Knead the carbon daily to keep the surface clean. Most users get perfect results with korallenzucht carbon.
3. Dose 6 drops ZeoBac daily for the first 2 weeks, flowed by a 2 – 3 x weekly dosage of 6 drops. Dose 0.6 ml ZeoStart 2 x daily (morning & evening). Dose those in front of the Zeo reactor pump while it is switched on.
Later on you could use the additional products for coral coloration. Adjust your skimmer to skim wet, keeping it clean to export as much as possible. Do a weekly water change of 5 – 10 % with a good salt.
With the system it is not recommended to use a PO4 absorber. I would recommend to remove 1/3 of the absorber if you start with zeovit, than reduce the rest over the next 6 – 8 weeks step by step to zero. If this is done keep a eye on the PO4 level which should not increase.
Basic water parameters looking good, try to keep them as stabile as possible close the NSW in the following ranges:
KH 6.5 – 7.5
Ca 400 – 420 mg
Mg 1250 – 1300 mg
K+ ~ 380 mg
For a nutrient poor environment K+ (potassium) seems to be a important element. I would recommend you to get a test kit for this element also, posting your results.
When you start with ZeoVit stop dosing the other products you already use.
This is a start-up dosage which might have to be adjusted later.

You can do this if the reactor does arrive in the next couple of days, otherwise I would just recommend to wait with the start until the reactor has arrived.

Most important is to find the reason for the cyanos, I do not know much about your system what you products you use / have been used recently, quality of the RO water etc.
As you already have some products to treat them you can try:
https://www.korallen-zucht.de/en/Sal...aram=A-Balance
Dose 25 ml / 100 liters once followed by 1 ml / 100 liters every 10 days
https://www.korallen-zucht.de/en/Sal...rchparam=Cyano
Dose 2 drops / 100 liters mixed with 2 ml / 100 liters CoralSnow daily for 10 days
Additional if you like to 1 spoon ZeoZym soaked in some tank water a couple of hours before dosing 2 x weekly.
