Default depleted zeolite rocks

Hello forum,
anyone reuse the zeolite rocks after exchanging them? have anyone used them for extra substrate surface in the sump? am looking in to adding the old rocks to the sump just to increase the substrate but not sure of there is any negative impact from doing so.

If the material is still wet you can put some in the sump section as additional surface to host bacteria, works well from my experience. The old wet rocks are also optimal to cycle a different system as you add many bacteria stains with it.

I did that on my old tank.
Eventually old stones filled up one of my sump's chambers.
I did not see any negative effects but you should put stones in some kind of container or after mechanical filter to prevent them from becoming detritus trap (if you plan to store a lot as I did).
