I will be testing potassium soon but not tonight, a few other things though...

1. I have the sponge power should I wait until a certain week to start using it? (You said 7 drops every other day but can I start right away or should I wait until 4 weeks)

2. I have a cyano/bacteria issue primarily with my sand (I have had it for months) can I start using coral snow or should I wait until I am further along only 8 days in on the conversion.

My Alk is getting closer to recommended with my salt change down to 8.4

You can dose 7 drops SpongePower every other day additional if you like to.

To treat the cyanos it would be worth a try to dose 14 ml CoralSnow mixed with 7 drops ZeoBac daily for some time. While doing this no separate ZeoBac dosage is necessary.

It also looks like the sand does contain a lot of mulm. To get rid of the cyanos vacuum the sand regular while each water change to remove the mulm and the cyanos in the deeper sand layers.

Which kind of sand is this exactly ?

This sand has been in my tank for a few years. Until starting zeo I had done weekly water changes of 30g siphoning the sand the whole time. I had done this for the last 2 months. I pulled all the live rock out and have dealt with it outside of the tank bleaching the rock and then on a separate tank with a turf scrubber until it would no longer produce algae. I removed all but 1/2” to 1” depending where you are in the tank.

The combination of live sand and zeovit does cause algae / cyano issues very often. Usually this just can be fixed by replacing the sand with some kind of well soaked dry material like aragonite.

I have never used the Plus version of the products but as it has a PO4 decreasing component also I would go lower so 1 ml / 25 US gallons.

So overall things seem to be going well starting day 14

I have found one of my corals has lost some color but I’m horrible at pictures not sure if it’s just getting used to the lower nutrients or not. Checked potassium today and im at 410.

A stabile biology is very important to improve corals coloration this might be the main reason why you have noticed that this coral has lost some color. Usually time should fix it if there are no other issues. The coral in the picture is also relative sensitive.

Still have cyano after a week but its getting a little better. Should I keep using Coral Snow Plus or look to the original Coral Snow with higher dosages or Cyano Clean?

On a side note my corals are looking fantastic I think they are starting to get acclimated to the lower nutrient levels. I have picked up a few blue bottles so just going to list them in case you think I should start adding them or wait until later is fine too they were just on sale

As long as you have those cyano issues I would not add additional coloration or nourishing elements.

The green cyanos are more difficult to treat from my experience compared to the red ones.

A-Balance, CyanoClean and CoralSnow Standard are some additional possibilities to treat them but I can not guaranty that you will get rid of them with those products but it might be worth a try.

Have you had issues with them before starting with ZeoVit also ?
