Default 48” 90-gallon thank - 36” hybrid t5ho??

I have a 48” 90 gallon reef cycling. I currently have 4 AI Vegas that had on a 210 reef in the past. However one if them has just died on me so I was thinking of an easy T5HO retrofit fixture from Aquatic Life using 2 of my Vega’s but I have a canopy to fit in so I was going to use the 36” fixture with the 16” end panels so that it would fit.

Am I safe in assuming that the 36” will cover the 48” width just fine - especially since the rockwork is away from the sides & corals will be at least 6” from either end? Will it look ok??

Im assuming what is under the lights will grow and what ever is on the sides won't.

Hello thearnley, sorry, I don't have experience with led lights, I always use T5 tubes and let the light source spread the main display system as evenly as possible.

Thanks for not pointing out what a silly question I’m asking...lol. I do believe I’m over thinking things & coverage will be fine. I’ll post a photo or 3 when I get it installed.

Any suggestions for bulb choices for the 4 t5’s?
