hey alexander,
Do u think I can keep an elegance coral in my full sps tank? I will make sure it won't touch anything. I am worried about whether it will release some thing to poison the sps

I had one for a couple of years in my old system and have not noticed any issues with the SPS. They can form extreme long individual tentacles while the night to reach other corals if they get to close.

after dosing this for a week, there is no big difference. I think one of the green acropora is a little bit dark (very slight). Overall, the coral of my tank are still dark (i think this was caused by low lighting, and i have gradually increasing that). Parameters are stable at this moment.
My current dosing plan is :
Bak 4 drops*3 /week
Start 0.8ml/day
Sponge power 4 drops/day
B-B 4ml*3/week
AAHC 2drops*3/week
Xtra special 2ml*3/week
coral-booster 2ml*3/week
CV 4 drops *3/ week
Coral snow 4ml*2/week
Since most of my corals are still dark, can I add spur2 into my week dosing plan?
Also, should I add Xtra and PIF as well.
thanks for your help.

If you think the dark tissue is caused by the lighting and if you have changed that already give your corals some time to adopt. If the corals are 100% healthy you can give ZeoSpur2 a try if the lighting change does not makes a difference. Just keep in mind to start very slow with the product.
From the PDF guide:
Quote:
It is possible with this product to influence the amount of zooxanthellae in the coral
tissue. The coral itself has more energy for growth because the zooxanthellae density
requires less energy. This is possible for acropora, anacropora and montipora. The
reduction of zooxanthellae in the outer layers brings out the colors of the coral from
deeper layers. ZEOspur2 is also able to influence colors. However, the primary color
shown will be the color right below the layer with the zooxanthellae. It is possible to
reduce the amount of zooxanthellae so much that the coral will not get enough energy
via photosynthesis. This condition can be maintained for a long period of time without
damage to the coral. However, our experiments have shown that continued
overdosing, and only under this condition, coral tissue will become thinner and thinner
and ultimately completely dissolve. We recommend dosing every 14 – 21 days. It is
important to apply the full dose all at once or there will no be any changes. The
reduction of zooxanthellae occurs within 48 hours and also reaches its highest point at
that time. The reaction and, therefore, the dosing amount are different from tank to
tank. We recommend starting at 50 % of the recommended amount to get a feel for the
product. Subsequently, you can increase the dosing amount, not the interval, by 10%
each time to find the perfect dosing amount. The maximum dosing amount is 1 ml per
25 gallons and should not be exceeded. We do not recommend the use of this product
during the initial starting phase of the ZEOvit® system. There is too much change and
your corals will not have enough time to adjust safely. We would like to mention at this
point that this product has the fastest and most drastic impact of the whole system. The
optimum dosing, in this case, is absolutely necessary in order not to damage your
corals.

Increasing the addition of more coloration elements like XTra will just darken the tissue additonal.

Also the nitrate and phosphate have been zero for couple months. So, I don't think it is algea.

It does not look like a sponge, I would try to remove it, it does not look nice but from the view of the biology or the corals it is not a problem.

Thanks, I just clean some of my rock and changed the water. When I cleaned it, it was a very thick thing and could keep the thick and large shape in the water. I observed it. When it just grows, it looks like a bit furry, then it will become very thick. I googled it, some people said this is dino. But I didn't see that much air bubble on it. It also didn't do dmg to the coral I guess.
also I post some pics of my coral, I would like to know whether there is any change for my dosing plan.

Here is one more pic about the unknown algea of my tank before I clean them.
This has been in my tank since I started the cycling. So I don't think the dosing makes it worse. I haven't seen any other algae in my tank.
From the pic, you can see it is very thick and furry. Have no idea about that.
Thanks for help

I found they like high light very much. And can stand very high flow rate. They also cover on the shell of clams. But different from other algea, there is no air bubbles or only a few tiny bubbles on them.

I don't have any other algea in my tank. They even grow on the glass. It has been my tank since the first day. Also, do you think I need to make some changes to the dosing plan.
Thanks for ur help
