Sorry, you have already answered me in #1.
Ocean reef crystal sea salt, I have no experience in using it, I don't know enough about the product. I searched a little. I found a paragraph

"Immediate marine coral reef crystal designed for coral reef aquarium Designed with extra calcium, selected trace elements and vitamins above natural seawater concentration. These additional measures reduce the need for constant replenishment and additives to supplement the basic substances that are rapidly consumed in the thriving coral reef aquarium. Reef crystals also contain Special additives that help detoxify excess heavy metals such as copper "

I don't know about the product.
Maybe try some better sea salt mixture is a better choice.
