So what is the reading of magnesium? Maybe the level of Mg is not enough to maintain Kh.

I am not familiar with the product but as you do not use the second component (Ca) I would check it in the first component (Alk) Ca is contained.

Just use some tank water and measure the Ca level, do the same with a second water sample and add 2 or 3 drops from the first component additional. If the Ca level does increase the first component might contain Ca.

There must be any source for Ca in your system.

Magnesium, I mean the main display system of water, not the mixture of salt. If magnesium is insufficient, the maintenance of kh cannot be provided.

Ok just did the test That G.Alexander asked in #137 it didnt do anything I added up to 5 drops didnt change ca level at all.
I went to the local fish store and they tested my water ca 420 alk 5 mag. 1350. They used the same 2 test kits I use Hanna. Checker alk salifert mag and salifert ca.
Now we tested the fresh salt water ca 440 mag 1320 alk 7.1 . So now I think Im just chasing numbers. I think I should get alk up to 7 or 8 and see what happens at the end of the week.

Also I changed the lighting last week and the corals that were so light before are starting to color back up. You were right about the lighting G.Alexander. I was out of town last week I came home and see the difference in the corals already. Post #131 colors are coming back.

Sounds good, glad to hear things are looking better now. Water level sare fine, just increase the KH slowly to ~ 7 as you have planned. I would do this over a 2 week period as slow as possible.
