Sure Alexander, here the image. The part I mentioned is the recirculating loop.
Seems that it's job is to mix water coming from the sump to some water coming from the skimmer.

Now I see what you mean, thank you for the picture. I would run the skimmer with it, as much as I know just the older generation skimmer does not had this part.

Hi Alexander.
I've installed the new Revolution S skimmer with the recirculating loop installed.

I left the water output valve full opened and full-air at first.

Water level inside the skimmer was very low so that I closed the output valve but water is still low (I can't close more than this...). I've closed the air a little bit also, see the image).

The water line is at 22 cm in the skimmer sump compartment. I can't rise it (is 1 cm higher than the return compartment water level where Zeolite Reactor is placed. At around 21 cm Zeolite media is well submerged).

Do you think I have to try without the recirculating loop filling the hole ?

Thank you for an update.

Best

Franco

The water level is looking good but from the picture I would say the pump is not strong enough to push enough water through the skimmer as you already have closed the wateroutlet of the skimmer already a lot.

If I remember correctly there is a valve at the piece which does connect the pump to the skimmer, is it open completely ?

I would also try to remove the black hose with the valve for the air injector temporary.

Hi Alexander.

I'm afraid no valve is present on the reclycling Tee (see the image). A white gate only.

Yesterday I had no chance to rise the wather level inside the skimmer (1 day without skimate...)

This morning I've uninstalled the recycling Tee and water level seems to be ok.

Now the skimmer needs to be tuned.

Any suggestion for this ?

Thank you

Franco

Night update.

Hi Alexander.

I left the skimmer running with the water outlet fully open.
The water level inside the skimmer is not jet stable ( I had different overflow).
Sometimes it's able to skim even with the water outlet fully open (I'm not using the reclycling tee)

Air is fully opened. Silencer is installed. See the image

Tomorrow morning I will try the tuning again. I will reinstall the reclycling tee in case of new overflow during the night.

A couple of questions:
Can you explain why this version use the reclycling tee ?
DO you have suggestion to tune the skimmer (I've always used Deltec dual-pump skimmer) .

Best

Franco

Hi Alexander

Morining update:

Continuous Overflow during the night......

Reinstalled the reclycling tee: No sucess, water too low inside the skimmer with water outlet closed near limit, full-air (without silencer).

The last chance:
I will try to uninstall the reclycling tee again and limit the pump in inbound to avoid overflow.

What is your opinion ?

Thank you

Franco

If the skimmer does overflow Franco while the outlet is full opened you need to adjust the air quantity.

Hi Alexander and thank you for the support.

New update:

Now the skimmer is working again without the reclycling tee.

This time I've mounted the pump Hose connector even for the the pump inlet.

I think this limit the pump flow (due to the diameter od the hose connector) a little bit and allow me to control the water level inside the skimmer (water output valve is 3/4 opened )

Air is controlled by a self-made tube clamp (a new one is on the way).

Please let me know your opinion

Sounds good Franco, the skimmer in the video is working as it should be.

Hi Dzeo.

This is my first KZ Skimmer and I'm using it for three days now. Please consider this.

Confusion apart for the reclycling tee ( I'm not using it) and with tips from Alexander G. and other users, I made the initial setup.

This morning I've done a final tune to control the foam consistency.

Here a this morning video

https://youtu.be/0lrSBM3zM1g

(please Alexander, is this setup too dry ?). Let me say the skimmer is not noisy and made of good materials.

As Alexander said in one thread, once you have left the skimmer run at least one day with the water outlet completely open and also the air intake (the skimmer coming with a silencer but no air valve or airline clamp is provided),
I've closed the air with a silicon hose and the air tap (fully open) from my old Deltec Skimmer in order to get a consistent foam.

Than I begun to close the output valve slowly bringing the border line you can see between the water and the bubble when they start to form foam to around 10 cm (range between 5 (wet) and 10 cm (dry)) under the cup connector.
I started to have a good skimate after minutes

Hope this help.

Best

Franco

Hello Franco, great video, thank you for sharing. The skimmers setting looks perfect now. As the skimmer is still relative new you might have to do additional small adjustments in the next couple of days.

As you mention I have always tried to get as much air as possible in the skimmer by keeping the air intake open while adjusting the level with the valve at the outlet.
