Default Zeovit - brown bottom

Hello, I switch my aquarium from the Biogest system to the Zeovit half a year ago. Now I'm have problem with a brown bottom/sand (the white sand turned to brown). The aquarium has 500 liters.

Dosing:
Zeobak - 5 drops twice a week
Zeofood7 - 7 drops twice a week
Amino LPS - 1 ml twice a week
Koral vitalizer - 5 drops daily
KZ koral system 1,2,3,4 - 4x 25 ml weekly

Aquarium:
500 L (SPS and LPS)
Skimmer
Ca reactor
Zeovit
Bio pellet reactor
Carbon and Phosphex reactor

Watter:
PO4 0
KH 8-9
Ca 450
Mg 1440
NO3 up to 10
K 370
Ph 8,2

Where can be a problem please?
Thank you
Jiri

I battled brown sand caused by diatoms for years. This also happened after introducing the Zeovit system. You should wash and soak your zeolith stones better / longer.

Just for fun, test the water in which you soaked the zeolith for silicates. You'll be amazed.

Bugger every system is different and every issue have its own solution. I do not think you are advocating to mainstream dosing PO4 and NO3 for every brown sighting are you?
there are many "Brown" color issues. Diatom, Dino, Cyano (there is brown Cyano), bacteria bloom..etc

YES - gfo mainly due to silicates

I think there is a problem in Zeofood. This brown coating is also in the Zeovit manual.

Similar as with ZEOstart, it is possible that a visible brown or light green bacterial film builds that looks like a diatom bloom. When this occurs, we recommend that dosing of ZEOfood7 and ZEOstart be ceased for a few days until the film is gone. This film usually builds when there is an over dosage. We recommend adjusting your dosing amount accordingly.

the system that you are running is not exactly Zeovit so I cannot advice you much here. honestly in my opinion either you commit to zeovit or no need to use it and use only nutrient products of the zeovit. I have yet to see a true long success with mixed systems...
before you can truly debug the issue you need a positive ID. what is the brown film, is it algae, is it bacteria bloom or is it something like Dino....

yeh am not gonna use a product like this lol. there is no clear data on the long term effect of these products. neither do we know whats the ingredient. I think its dangerous to use blanket statements and expect this product to solve everything....
there is a solution for every problem as long as we know what is the problem exactly.
