Default Syds red sea 170

Hello, it was a while since I was active here. There was a change of house with the accompanying renovation in the way of the hobby, but now it is clear that the time and effort are again for an aquarium and a long boring winter is at the entrance.

I bought a used red sea 170 this time partly because of site reasons, but also because it is a wooden bat in this house. The idea of this aquarium is to keep it simple, at least in the beginning, so get it form properly. Will have mostly corals that bore with the water movement and some simple fish. Have been in here and read a little now and then and the hobbies have developed, some seem to be the same but the basics are the same so it's time to read and sort out what might be interesting. The aquarium has now been running for a month with me and it has matured really well, make sure to move the stone in water to disturb the bacterial flower as little as possible and it seems to have worked.

Here are some pictures what it looks like now.

Thank you for your welcome, right now I only run the basics of the zeovit system. I thought that the aquarium would stabilize, and I'll see what's missing for the corals to enjoy. It should take some time, do not want too big fluctuations in such a small aquarium.

Best regards Bosse

Yes it is to the right of the full tank picture, the crab is not big, the aquarium is small.

Thank you, can this crab cause coral damage? . The feng shui on the wall has birds and seas, and the dragonfly on the white walls. It looks like you are a person who loves nature. It is great.

Thank you for sharing the information. It's great. It turns out that they can live together, just like some crabs on the sps (symbiosis).

Good effect in zeon, dosed two drops of zeostart3 morning and evening at the beginning but received a brown film over the bottom and glass after a few days. dropped to a drop morning and evening and the brown film fell rapidly. my dose right now is zeostart3 1 drop morning and evening, zeobak 1 drop Saturday and Wednesday, sponge power 1 drop Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and the corals look better for every day that goes. There are probably some phosphates in the stone that need to be pulled out, so now it's only to let Zeon do the job. photo from today.

I like the tank! Looks healthy

What's your flow through the zeo-reactor?
For a tank size as the red sea 170, your dosage seems rather low, is that an active choice? If so, why?

Zeostart is also usually dosed in .ml, not drops, as in 0.1ml per 100L, not sure exactly how much 2 drops would translate to

"20 large drops or 25 small drops = about 1 ml", generally around 25. Zeo start3 bottle, I use a syringe, as blackizzz said, 0.1ml per 100 liters

Hello excuse late reply.
I use the small bottles of pipette and it's with them i drop. Began to drip zeostart3 twice morning and evening but noticed that I got a brown trap on the sand and the glasses then slipped into a drop of morning and evening when the skin fell on the sand and the glass. Increased slightly on sponge power but now I notice that I've got a bit of slurry on the rear window and will relieve it a bit. Testing now with biomate to make the water even clearer. Sensitive to small aquariums they react immediately if something fails it's a little challenge to get what you want. Will keep calm with the aquarium and let it take some time to find the right balance, think there are some trash bound in the stone that needs time to leak out.

Best regards.

Tack f顤 v鄟komnandet Blackizz, kommer att f闤ja ditt akvarium noga d vi har ungef酺 samma vattenvolym.

Little new pictures, feels like the aquarium begins to stabilize now after 2.5 months. Have had some brown algae on the glass and the sand but it has fallen in recent weeks. Have been working a bit with the times on the light and the dosage of the basic + Biomate, start to find what may be right for the cube.
Best regards.
