Keep on dosing CoralSnow every other day after adding the sand, some kind of a brown film on the fresh sand is normal and does usually disappear within a couple of weeks.

I checked flow today & reset the reactor to 280 oz per minute which works out to 2.1875 gallons x 60 minutes = 131.25 gallons per hr. that is very close to the 130 gallons per hr you advised originally. also cleaned reactor pump. I will dose CS every other day for a couple weeks & see where Im at with brown film.
Cheers

so brown on the sand is gone now with CS & BM every other day. I switched out my lights for two Radion XR30 G4 Pros & the difference is astounding. good growth & healthier looking SPS. DT is stable it seems the last couple weeks so will consider some additives soon.

Thank you for the update, might the switch of the light be the reason why the brown film has disappear ? Difficult to say ….

dont know for sure.
when you say stable parameters do you mean exactly the same or whithin a range? what would you suggest to start with for additives?

Corals looking healthy, give them some time to adopt to the new lighting spectrum.

ok thanks for the reply, I have been dosing AA, AA LPS, SP & CV 2-3 times per week as directed on the bottles for 2 weeks now. if I should stop until they have some time to adapt to new spectrum let me know. I have the lights on an acclimation program at 50%

Beautiful coral, envy you have it.

At present, the level of np is at that stage. If everything is perfect (including potassium), the coral tissue becomes lighter, and it is a good choice to start giving half the dose at the right time and observe them.

I like your new coral

Hello JMAC, I saw the value of po4 from the log, ask you about the problem of po4, from March to August, the value of po4 is slowly decreasing. This is a good thing.

What is the reason to measure po4, do you use any method? Keep measurable po4, or have not reached the unmeasurable stage.

Since using the kz system, my po4 has not been measured for a long time, which is great.

I know that 0.00~0.03 is an acceptable range.

Do you keep this data or have not reached the unmeasurable stage?

As long as you do not have issues with a brown film, cyanos or other algae it will be OK but personally I would recommend to reduce both AA products to 50% for a while.

Maybe it is a machine tolerance problem? Because I saw the increase in the value of po4, the decrease and increase again, I don't know if it is normal, because it is not easy for me to measure the value of po4.

G.Alexander's suggestion reminds me of the relationship that may be caused by kz AA, (maybe...)

As long as you don't have brown film, cyan or other algae problems, if the coral tissue is thicker (forgive my narrative), the coral tissue becomes lighter and can be replenished at the right time. (This is my observation is not necessarily correct to share with you)
