Can you please measure the ZeoVit reactor flow ?

Additional do you have a closer picture of the black stuff which is attached to the live rock ? Does this stuff disappear while light are off growing back quick in the morning when lights are switched on again ?

Replace ~ 90% of the ZeoVit material and keep ~ 10% of the old material in the reactor. After the exchange dose ZeoBac daily for 10 days, followed by 2 x weekly until the next exchange.

Carbon if passively flow should be replaced every 4 weeks. I you do not use korallenzucht carbon put some of the fresh carbon for a couple of hours in RO water and check the PO4 level of the water, no PO4 should be detectable.

I just got you message.
This morning I measured the flow in the reactor.
I filled a 5 gallon bucket in 2min.
What do you think of the flow?

I am going to switch out the zeo-rocks (90percent)
Also going to switch the kz carbon, I am using the kz brand.

I will send more pictures shortly

Really nice to know there are good people helping out with these kinds of issues!

That should equal 550L/H in flow, which should be okay for your tank.

I'd suggest that you wait for a week after you change zeovit media before you change the carbon. It's best to not change them at the same time

Ooohhh no

I changed both today.
The zeolite (zeo-rocks) and carbon.

Did I just cause another issue?

Reactor flow is fine, no change is necessary. For further exchanges I would also recommend to replace the ZeoVit and the carbon on different days.

G. and Blackizzz's advice is great It doesn't matter, remember the next time. Observe whether coral tissue and PE are normal and give them time to adapt. I believe that there are no problems.

If the coral is poorly thinned or there is no PE or the tissue is smooth or the top of the coral is showing signs of damage, observe this.

Relax, everything is fine.

So here's an update.
Still battling green on glass and green water.
Changed the zeovit rocks 10 days ago
Changed the carbon bag 10 days ago
Dosing 1ml of zeostart everyday
Dosing 5 drops of zeobak for the last 10 days (daily), starting 2 weekly now
Did 10ml of snow 9 days ago
Did 20 mls of snow 2 days ago
No other supplements.
Feed my fish dry pellets, 3 pellets per fish, barley feeding them to keep nutrients down.
Lights reduced from 60 percent to 50 percent.

These pictures are of my tank right now.

What do I do now?

What is your Zeo zeolite reactor flow
What is the current NP
Suggested parts Plastic parts ... Tube...
Ocean pure block, have you deleted it?
How is the quality of Ro water?

Maybe this phenomenon should be from the relationship of Live Rock, you may have "processed" it.

The water volume is 500 liters:

ZeoBac - 2 times a week, 5 drops
ZeoStart - 0.5 ml per day, a total of 1 ml a day, let us 0.5ml x2
SpongePower - 5 drops every other day

Take 10 ml of CoralSnow twice a week.

The Zeo Basic 4 product is fully used at the moment.
At the same time, 1.25 liters of Zeovit was run, with a constant flow of 500 liters per hour through the reactor. Place 0.5 liters of activated carbon passively in the oil sump

Live rock, green/gold yellow Mud, showing the addition of a nutrient that you have been overdose. Let us continue the above dose and the exact flow. Try not to remove and not recommend objects, this can avoid unnecessary errors.

What is your Zeo zeolite reactor flow, I fill 1 gallon in 1 minute
What is the current NP, Nitrate 0, Phosphate .1
Suggested parts Plastic parts ... Tube...pipe put in yesterday catch a sand sifting goby, the other plastic box is a saltwater fish trap, trying catch a goby,
Ocean pure block, have you deleted it? Yes, took out when first recommended.
How is the quality of Ro water? TDS reads 2

Maybe this phenomenon should be from the relationship of Live Rock, you may have "processed" it.

The water volume is 500 liters: 650L total with live rock, so it would be about 500L of water
ZeoBac - 2 times a week, 5 drops, Just changed the Zeolite rocks in reactor, I was advised from G. Alexander to dose daily 5 drops for 10 days, which I did.
ZeoStart - 0.5 ml per day, a total of 1 ml a day, let us 0.5ml x2, I will do this
SpongePower - 5 drops every other day, Not doing this, I don't want to feed the algae in the tank.

Take 10 ml of CoralSnow twice a week. dosed 10 mils 10 days ago, dosed 20 mls 3 days ago.
The Zeo Basic 4 product is fully used at the moment.
At the same time, 1.25 liters of Zeovit was run, with a constant flow of 500 liters per hour through the reactor. Place 0.5 liters of activated carbon passively in the oil sump, carbon bag is in the same chamber as the return pump to get max flow, this was also changed 10 days ago

Live rock, green/gold yellow Mud, showing the addition of a nutrient that you have been overdose. Let us continue the above dose and the exact flow. Try not to remove and not recommend objects, this can avoid unnecessary errors.

I have done exactly what was suggested above, I have not added any liquid products to the tank, only mentioned above,
Done 2 water changes, 30 gallon each.
Doing another 30 gallon today.

Fish feed very minimal, 3 pellets a day per fish, trying not to feed anything in the tank.

I read somewhere this could be a phyto bloom?

I am frustrated

Hello Daniel225, from the picture, I think the situation seems to be slowly improving, just do the right dose of Zeo Foundation 4, and the correct Zeo zeolite quantity/flow.

I did exactly the above suggestions. I didn't add any liquid products to the tank, only the ones mentioned above.
Complete 2 water changes, 30 gallons each time.
Do 30 gallons today.

There is very little fish feed, 3 fish per day, trying not to feed anything in the tank.

You did a great job, keep it and stick to it.

I am not a chemist, I don't think this is the symptom or cause of Zeo Sp. It should be based on the comprehensiveness of a basic 4 product balance.

I believe that I will be coming back.

Zeo Sp This may not be the phenomenon of this kind of picture.

TDS reads 2, fix it to update

Hey Jacky,
Maybe the pictures are not clear.
It's not better or worse. after a water change it okay for a few days then the water and glass are green again.

Hello Daniel225, I don't know much about your tank. In general, it can lead to such phenomena. For example, sunlight can be solved with activated carbon.

As you narrate, re-release back into the water, perhaps from the rock

Ro Tds=2, is the problem solved
Can you fix Ro first

What kind of zeolite, what kind of activated carbon, what kind of sand, what kind of Ro water quality,What kind of NP level, what kind of SG

Hello Daniel, I would try to run a UV light for some days, switch it off for 2 or 3 hours while dosing.

I have a UV light that I will put back on the tank.
I just noticed the lamp is burnt and ordered a replacement.
I will let everyone know how it goes.
Thank you
