Default Change of zeolite according to new guide.

Hello, This week I have to change the zeolites and reading the new zeovit guide does not put anything to keep 10-15% of the old zeolite, but change completely. Nor does it add anything to Zeoback for 7 days after the change to populate the zeolite with bacteria. I always understood that it was like that, but I do not know if this routine is necessary and simply changing the total of the zeolite is sufficient.

what you described is not from the old guide either. these are practices that was developed by the community through trial and error. the idea behind all these practices is to help re establish the bacterial base quick after a change since you removed the substrate that host big chunk of the population.
I use this practice all the time and I do see difference when I do not do this, my system go through a mini cycle.

ok, I had that idea because when I started the system I read in several forums in Spanish that said it was like that and I thought it was taken from the zeovit guide.
I will continue with the same practice that it seems that the system is not destabilized in the zeolite changes.
as always, thanks for your comments
