Default Planning Things Out

Hi, Everyone. Just joined today. I'm currently in the planning stages of converting my 90 gallon freshwater tank to saltwater and had a question for everyone. What ZeoVit reactor is everyone using? I'm having trouble finding Vertex models available. Has anyone tried the reactors made by Bubble Magus? Are they any good? What others would you recommend? The KZ one is always an option, but it's a little bigger than I wanted for my sump. Thanks!

Hi clarity1981

If you start with your system please post some more details about your system if you like to get a dosing recommendation:

You should also find more details about reactors over here:

I’m using a Bubble Magus one at present, it’s ok day to day but horrible to change the stones as there’s no internal basket, and you’ll likely need to replace the pump with something adjustable.

Also tried the Deltec ZA-509 bit I found it struggled cleaning the larger stones properly.

I’m torn between a Vertex and KZ but will likely go with the KZ one.

I'm worried that the Vertex might be discontinued. BRS told me they weren't planning on getting anymore in. I haven't seen them in stock anywhere. Limits the options a bit.

Vertex was the worst reactor I got. True waste of money. It took 2 months only to become so hard to pump...
Tried couple of diffrent reactors but settled on the auto PRS reactor...best in investment I have ever done in my zeo system.

Lol..its a japanese company called perfect reef systems. Amazing products really. I emailed them and they took care of everything.
I got their reactor+flowmeter+DC pump combo...I honestly do not remember the cost but I do remember it was cheaper than kz and bit more expensive than avast( I used avast for 6 months then dumped it)
Just email them they are very responsive..
If you like PM me your email address I can shoot an intro for you.
