@G.Alexander just one question about Coral Vitalizer.

You told me to dose 6 drops 2 times weekly, but the recommended dosage is 1 drop/100 L. My tank y about 320 liters so 3-4 drops.

Is it just a mistake or should I dose 6 drops?

Thanks! And sorry to make so many questions!
It is difficult to overdose Vitalizer. I had good results dosing 2 drops / 100 liters 2 3 x weekly depending to the coral stocking level. If you like to dose a lower quantity, I am sure it will be fine also.

Yes, my water volume is 600L. Currently 6 drops per day, even 2~3 times a week 12 drops kz cv, tank no problem, coral performance is better.

Np cannot be measured.

There was some white on the original glass (forgive my description), but now it is rare. Kz cv I think it's a great coral food, it smells a bit like a carbon source and food,

I really like kz cv

Hi friends. I've noticed that calcium consumption has dropped from 9 ml per day to 3 ml per day since the last 23th August.

23th August: Calcium Raised from 405 to 415 ppm (I Started to dose 3 ml/day instead of 9 ml/day).
26th August: Calcium continues at 415 ppm.

The only changes I did were:

- I Stopped dosing FlatWormStop, Coral Booster, Macroelements,Reef Roids and Easybooster
- Followed your dosing advices (6 drops PCV, 6 drops Bio-Mate, .....)

The corals look as always, good PE, clear water, a bit of GHA. As always.

Any advice?

Have you noticed a decrease of coral or coralline algae growth ?

Hi Alexander. Coralline algae looks good, but it's not growing at all. Corals has some white tips, but in just 4 days it is difficult for me to say if it has growed or not.

I would suggest to continue as planned, keeping a close eye on the corals.

Thanks Alexander. I'll continuo as planned. I'll update the post with new pics in 2 weeks.

I've one doubt. If my Nitrates and Phosphates are at 0, Why do I need to ad Zeostart3? I thought ZS3 was a carbon source to reduce nutrientes.

You are right, ZeoStart does nourish bacteria strains and does additional build up the whole system biology which is very important. You might be able to reduce ZeoStart later to 2/3 or of the dosage you use at the moment later if the system runs nutrient poor stabile.

Hi Alexander, thanks for your answer.

As I told you, my tank was set up in January '18 and I started using Zeovit in February '18.

In the beginning I was dosing 2x0.3 ml Zeostart3. But later, I reduced the amount to 0.2 ml 3 times weekly, because my system was already running nutrient poor stabile as you can see in this attached graph.

So, if my system is running nutrient poor stabile since April '18. Why do I need to add so much ZS3 again?

Sorry for making so many questions, but I need to understand what I am doing.
I rely on you a lot, because you're an expert, but I would like to know the reasons.

Anyway, I'm dosing as planned, as you told me some days ago.

Thanks a lot for your help Alexander.

The picture feels blue. I can't see the coral. I feel that the organization is still relatively heavy.

From my experience it is the best for the biology to dose as much ZeoStart as possible without getting the overdosing signs (brown film) but not more than the recommended maximum. If to less ZeoStart is dosed the system is more fragile from the view point of the biology.

Now, I understand this question. Thanks a lot Alexander.

@jacky. I’ll try to take better pictures, sorry. I don’t understand when you say: ‘organization is still relatively heavy’. Please try to explain me it. Thanks.

I mean, the coral tissue looks darker, follow the advice of G., and it will be on the right track.

Default UPDATE 1 (15 days later)

Hi guys, 15 days after following your advices, I would like yo show you the results. Some details I have noticed:

- Corals look very pale (but good PE).
- A bit of brown film.
- Coralline looks good on the rock, but white on crystals.
- Calcium consumption is stabile again (about 12 ml per day).

Parameters I measured today:

- KH 7.3 (Hanna)
- Ca 400 (Salifert)
- Mg 1335 (Salifert)
- K > 470 (Salifert)
- NO3 0.00 (JBL)
- PO4 0.00 (HANNA ULR phosphorus)
- Salinity 34.5 (Apex) 1026 (Mantis) 3,47% (Mantis)
- Temp 26.0 C

I've taken pictures under WHITE lights only (Radion G4 led):

Next step?

Thanks!
