Hi JUNJONG

Place 0.5 liter zeovit in a Zeo Reactor. Water flow around 200 liters per hour. Connect the reactor pump to a clock timer and run the reactor pump with a 3 hour on / 3 hour off / 3 hour on interval. Please make sure the zeolite is not exposed to air while the pump is switched off. Clean the material daily. Leave the zeolite 4 weeks in the filter until you do the first change out. This is the first changing interval, others could be lengthen to 6 – 8 weeks. After some weeks, if your corals doing fine, you can increase the ZeoVit quantity to 0.75 liters with a flow of ~ 300 liters per hour through the reactor.

Try to keep the basic water parameters as stabile as possible close the NSW in the following ranges:

KH 6.5 – 7.5
Ca 400 – 420 mg
Mg 1250 – 1300 mg
K+ ~ 380 mg

At the moment I would recommend to keep the sand, it will have a positive impact to the biology.

Continue dosing as follows:

ZeoBac – 3 drops 2 x weekly
ZeoStart – 0.15 ml 2 x daily (this can later be increased to 0.3 ml 2 x daily=
SpongePower – 3 drops every other day
BioMate – 6 drops 2 x weekly
ZeoZym – spoon 1 – 2 x weekly

The rest of the products you use can be dosed as before depending to the coloration of the corals.

Thank you. Alexander
I'll apply it this weekend according to your guide.
I have a question about the guide. The initial amount of carbon source was 0.6ml. It was adjusted to 0.12ml when the wall algae was observed.
Do I need to unconditionally increase the carbon source as zeolite is added to the tank?

Some kind of a algae / bacteria dust on the glass every couple of days is normal and a good indicator for a healthy biology so usually nothing problematic.

If you increase the ZeoStart dosage I would recommend to do this slowly step by step while observing the tank.

Default Add zeolite to existing tank

I installed a Zeo reactor on the weekend. The changes are as follows.

- Phosphate values are measured at 0.00 for two days. Some corals are suddenly brightening.
- After shaking the Zeo reactor, the activity of the coral polyp increases.
- The water was clean.

I have additional questions.
1. I want to keep the phosphate level 0.03 ~ 0.05. What should I do?
2. I heard that the operation of three time periods is more powerful than the continuous operation. I wonder what kind of action this makes.
3. There are 6 fish and 6 drops of BM are thought to be many. tell me your opinions..

Personally I do not see a reason to increase the PO4 level however if you like to give it a try you can decrease the ZeoVit quantity and or the flow through the reactor. Additional dosing less ZeoStart might also help in conjunction of adding more fish. BioMate does decrease PO4 also so you can additional reduce the dosage of the product.

I missed the first zeolite replacement cycle.it is now 8 weeks. The flow rate is 150 liters. Is it necessary to replace 90% and continue the water flow like a normal replacement method? Also, should bacteria be dosed continuously for 10 days?

Just replace 90% of the material now. If you still run the reactor with the 3 hour on / off interval you can switch it to continuous flow about 2 weeks after the exchange if all your corals are doing fine. Dose ZeoBac daily for 10 days after each ZeoVit exchange.

I lost a total of five coral while adding the zeolite media. In particular, all of the acroporas that were more than six months old died.
Four corals in the first input, one coral in the second exchange. After the secondary replacement, it was totally stable.

Now, Only four basic, aahc, cv,zz,bm are dosing.

Please recommend the next step dozing schedule according to coral condition. Below is my list of products.

Bb, ic, icc, pif, spur2, cb, kb. Pcs

Sorry to hear, can you please measure the flow through your reactor and post the result, also how much zeovit material do you have exactly in the reactor ?

It is operating with "zeolite 0.6 liters(Includes 0.1 liter used in the past), flow rate 150 liters / hour".

It operated by continuous operation instead of the initial "3 on, 3 off".

In addition, the screws used to connect the cooling piping were severely rusted. I think this has not affected either.

** Currently the dosing schedule.
Bak(3d)+ZZ(1/2tsppon)+BM(6d) : 2/weekly
SP(3d) : 2/weekly
Start3(0.3ml) : Dosing the diluent seveno times a day
PIF(2d) : 3/weekly
Iron(2d) : Depending on yellow coral conditions.
CV(3d) : 3/weekly
AAHC(3d) : 1/weekly
Strontium(2d) : 2/weekly
Water change(20L) : weekly
Zeolite(0.5L) : Monthly
Activated Carbon(0.15L) : Monthly
Shock filter : Two days

** Water Parameter
KH : 124 ~ 132ppm
Salinity : 34.0ppt
Magnesium 1450
K : 400
Ca : 470
Temp : 26.5

I would recommend to remove the rusting parts as soon as possible as this might be the reason for the issues.

The dosing regimen and the ZeoVit quantity is OK, lets keep the lower reactor flow until the coral issues have been fixed.

Thanks, I've removed the rusty iron. I'll keep it for two weeks and post it again.

I would do some additional water changes and the replacement of the carbon also. Additional if you already have you can dose 4 ml Coral Snow / 25 US gallons daily for a couple of days.

Thank you, sir.

1.Should I replace 15% of the total quantity three times a week? That is, a total of 45% will be replaced.
2.Carbon has already been replaced.
3. I also dosed pcs.

4.I have additional questions.
Most of the coral is brightening and the color is falling. The most typical example is below. I have "PX, CB". Which product should I use?
