Yes, I suspect there is something wrong with zeostarter. I have not dosed zeostarter for 2 days. and now much have disappeared. think it might have to buy new?

Do you have access to a microscope ?

If so I would recommend to put some of the brown stuff under the microscope to take a closer look at it. If you see moving cells those might be indeed Dinos. Here I have posted a short video (just klick on the first picture in the thread):

Hard to say if your ZeoStart does cause any issues, I have never hear about a similar case but to be 100% sure you can try to use a fresh bottle. Make sure the bottle has a date sticker with the minimum shelf live, otherwise you will never know how old the product really is.

Hello, now it's 10 weeks ago i started up again with zeovit. Everything looks very good, all the parameters are where they are going to be. But the corals are very bright in color. Look like they are too little nourishment. What is best to dosed to get a darker and deeper color. All corals are acropora. I have purchased acroglow but see no improvement.

Lets first try to dose 2 drops AminoAcid 3 x weekly and 2.5 ml XTra every other day for 10 days. Usually you should observe better growth and more contrast of the coloration from it.

If corals respond positive you can use additional products. The K+ level should also be slowly increased with K-Balance to ~ 380 mg.

The KH is a little bit to high, lets decrease it slowly to ~ 7.5.

Do the corals show good growth, can you post some actual coral pictures and are all corals affected by the light tissue ?

Thank you for the pictures, corals basically looking good showing growth which is a good sign.

Have you had the light tissue before you have started with ZeoVit again on this system ?

Net water volume is still 250 liters ?

The KH can be the reason but I do not expect it is the only reason.

The corals are unusual light for a PO4 level of 0.11 mg so I am not really sure what causes the problem beside the light. Another idea is to cross check the potassium level with a different test or a professional water test to see if your test kit is giving you the right results.

You can also try to increase the coloration elements for some time to see if that makes any difference beside doing 2 or 3 water changes each 15 % within 10 days.

Lets dose XTra @ 5 ml daily for 4 or 5 days and AAHC with 2 drops daily for the same time in conjunction with the water changes first.

Hi, i've bought a new Hanna checker. For testing phosphorus ULR.
And i got another result. I got 3 ppb or phosphate at 0,009198.

So no wonder that corals have light tissue, startes with pohl's Xtra special. Have been dosing this for 4 days with no results. 5 ml.

any suggestions?
