Basically most LPS corals are doing fine in a nutrient poor environment running ZeoVit but the system was developed basically for SPS systems. Another possibility is to just use some of the components like Amino Acids, Bacterial Coloration elements etc. in conjunction to a system which does control nutrients.

So you suggest to remove zeolit reactor and use just some elements? What about leave everything as it is running the thank as sps tank and just feed corals a bit more to keep the thank a bit higher in nutrients?

To be honest I am not really familiar with LPS corals, just kept some which all where doing perfect in the system even if nutrients where not detectable. Personally I just had issues with Acans but this might be a different problem. Most of the LPS corals are growing in the same reef areas like SPS corals so they should not be to different. If you like to give the system a try make sure to start slow as LPS corals do need more time to adopt from my experience.

Most pastel-SPS-maniacs don't keep LPS in their Zeo-systems because feeding LPS increases nutrients levels which can cause SPS's tissue to darken.
Otherwise there is no problem with keeping LPS corals in Zeo-reef.

Amino Acid LPS + Coral Booster work great for LPS corals.

Willow84!

I recently sold almost all of my LPS corals. I have tried to increase the nutrients of the water in every way, I use Coral Booster, Xtra, Vitaliser, even so my LPS's, especially the Euphyllia, felt a lot of the low reef nutrients (Undetectable Nitrate and Phosphate). On the other hand, Elegance, platygyra, Galaxea, the 3 remaining LPS, and the ricordeas are fantastic colors and growing very fast.

I have a couple acans that are doing great. My torches not as good and not growing. My chalices are only so-so as well.

It’s a mixed result for me on LPS

I think most Lps can get energy from them from light, phytoplankton and zooplankton. Most Lps and sps can coexist in the same sea area. Knowing about the survival of Lps is not entirely based on predation. Unless there is a "mouth" that needs to be fed, such as Tubastraea faulkneri. Coral is a species with symbiotic algae (photosynthetic coral)
Then it will open for photosynthesis in the daytime.
This kind of coral can protect the water body because of the existence of symbiotic algae in the water body.
So there will be a so-called "open" that we see during the day to reach the self-operating part.
Of course, photosynthetic corals also have self-operated parts.

There is also a type of cloudy coral (or non-light and coral).
Because there is no symbiotic algae to protect the water body, it is also impossible to carry out the self-operating part.
So mostly at night, or on the dark side of the reef
Nutritional sources all rely on predation

I keep some LPS in my zeovit tank. But also do feed them food so they do well
