I would not expect that the dosing regimen is the reason for the darker tissue you have mention, it might be a slow minimal increase of PO4 but the salifert test kit is not sensitive enough to detect. Do you have a chance to cross check with a high sensitive test kit or a photometer ?

Another reason might be the additional corals you have added, have you observed the tissue darkening before already ?

The darkening of the tissue started abit before i added the new corals, but didnt think much of it before. So ill ask my mate to crosscheck with hanna 713 to be sure. In the case of rising Po4 what do you recomend?

Lets see first if the PO4 has increased.

As you suspected, Po4 is elevated at 0.05 on Hanna checker and i think they might be on the rise since i have to clean the glass now more often. Havent found any dead fish and all heads are accounted for, same with most inverts i have(dont know the exact ammounts of each but no one seems to be dead in the middle of the sand). Still the Salifert kit shows 0 on the Po4

Did a full clean on all my equipment (pumps and changed carbon today meanwhile) And started doing 150l of (r/o water) for a good water change and doing complete vacuming on the sand with it.

…also make sure your ZeoVit reactor flow is not to low.

Tried to take the flow on the reactor but ended up filling a 3 litre bucket in 13.1 seconds, so that ends up being around 800-850ish L/h so seems quite ok. I have trouble doing the test over 30 seconds because the head pressure changes quige drasticly and seems i get really un-even results by lifting the reactor over the edge of my sump and running a hose to it. But even so it should be in the ballpark.

Edit: I did the test 3 times (to fill 3l bucket to the rim, 12.9s, 13.3s and 13.2s) and that averaged 13.1

I cut down on feeding a little, increased Zeostart 3 from 0,7ml twice daily to 0,8 ml twice daily.

Any other ideas how to get rid of the phosphates? It still seems like the phosphates are rising, because now i can see the salifert test picking up 0.03. And the glasses get algae growth in 2 days.

You can try to increase the BioMate dosage to 16 drops every other day for some time. Also it might make sense to vacuum the sand regular for some time to remove all the mulm accumulated in the deeper sand layers. Skimming more wet for some time should also be helpful.

Check your photo period how much blue light are you giving them my SPS don't handle blue to well they darken underthis, only other thing I could think would be your potassium I keep mine around 400ppm. I haven't tested whether this darkens tissue though.
Regards Fraysreef.

I got my po4 back in check, found a dead rotting snail that was stuck in my overflow, pulled it out and it smelled awful, few days later po4 back at 0.02 on hanna. But the cloudyness is back, well not really milky white, its more like a really light haze in the water that annoys me when the lights are on their peak power.

Could it be that i have too much zeovit stones and dosing too much? the water volume i have is really high compared to the ammount of rock, sand corals and fish in the tank because i have really open aquascape in my tank?

What i mean by this, is that my tank is 250gal but i only have ~10-12 fish, 40kg of rock and around the same in sand. So could it be im "overdosing" everything in the tank? My dosing regimen has not changed since last time.

Your dosing regimen also the ZeoVit quantity is perfect for the net water volume of 800 liters. I would not reduce the ZeoVit quantity this will just decrease the surface to host bacteria. If you are able to keep nutrients stabile you can try to decrease ZeoStart to 75% for example but keep a eye on the PO4 level which should not increase. You should also be able to decrease ZeoStart to 8 drops 2 x weekly.
