Hi friend....
Yesterday I recieved the triton analisys....

As the last time I have sproblems with heavy metals:

barium: red warning lamp
analysis 176 mg set point 10 mg deviation 166 mg

nickel (NI)
analysis 9.54 set point 5 mg deviation 4.54 mg

CU copper
analysis 15 mg set point 0 mg deviation 14.90 mg

the rest of analisys is good

I've checked all the acquarium. No problems of rust and on magnet...

an over dosage of the oligo elements????

I cannot see other reason

Solution ?

this afternoon I'll change a good part of the water--

thanks.
Massimo

Hello Massimo, can you tell me what exactly you dose at the moment, also are further corals have started with TN and are the affected ones already start to recover ?

in this momenti I stopped to dose anything since 3 weeks

I dose only zeobak 2 times a week
zeostart 0,2 daily
biomate 2 times a week.

It's one week that I started to use hydrogen peroxide 10 vol and the things are going real better......I did a big water change (100 litres) and I'm going to change 50 litres weekly until the heavy metals will disappear...

I lost a pair of coral anc the TN was especcialy on the tips attached by dinoflagellate.

Now the TN seems stopped......

Attached my dosage before these days

I do not expect that the reason for the elevated concentrations have anything to do with the dosage. If your corals are doing fine you can still continue to just dose the basics for some time.

If the Dinos are the reason for the corals looses and not any kind of a deficiency syndrome I would go with the basics until they have gone completely.

Hi Alexander…..

I did not yes solved the Dinoflagellate problems…..
Some day are really strong and have damaged some soral.

I want to ask you one thing: the nutrient in my tank are always 0, PO4=0, No3=0.
Can be this the problem?
I read in many forum that nutrient so low can be the origin of the problem….

Since two months I reduced zeostart3 to half (only 0,2 ml x day)…… but PO4 and NO3 are always =0.

The wate RO is perfect: always 0 tds and ms and I always do the silicate test=0…..

I notice one incredible thing in my tank: since 3 month are disappeared all the worm…….can It happen for the very low nutrient ?

Plese help me……

Massimo

Hello Massimo, Dinoflaggelate doe contain toxic substances so animals they are eating them can. This often happen to snails for example, maybe that is the reason why all worms have disappear.

Do your corals still show any kind of stress symptoms like TN or do they stopped growth completely ?

Do you use pumps with magnets ? Please also post a good picture which shows your sump.

Hi Alexander...sorry for long delay but I had some problems in my house....

anyway this is now the situation in my thank:

the Dino are disappeared but the cyano has come back.....

it seem the I have a hole in the biology of my thank ad is filled with dino or cyano alternatively...

I've lost a pair of corals for stn.....

the rest now in the tank have no great color but because is 3 moths that I don't dose oligo...

for 45 days I stopped to change the water to fight the dino.....now it's one mount that I restart to make 25 litre of change weekly

the general parametr:

kh 7
ca 425
mg 1300
K 400

PO4 below 0,003 (tropic marin)
no3 1 ( nyos)

I did the silicate test on the rodi water and is=0 and tsd =0

the last time you asked me some shot of the sump (attached).....

I really don't how to act...

I constantly dosed a-balance and cyanoclean.... nothing

do you think that a second initial big dose of a-balance can help ?

than you as always friend.....

the magnet of my power head seems good.....

Hello Massimo, thank you for the additional pictures but things are looking good. As you use some kind of a dosing system (visible in the picture) which kind of chemicals do you use ?

Can you please also post a picture of the algae to give me a idea what exactly it could be ?

As you mention that your corals do not grow I would first cross check the KH, if the level is fine do three water changes each 15% within 10 days. Also make sure the K+ level is ~ 380 mg.

Looks like the cyanos are just partial, have you already tried to remove them with a brush and clean the rock surface with it additional to remove mulm and sediments to see if they grow back again ?
