If really the blade is the problem it is the most important thing to find and remove it. Have those issues started before or after the blade has broken and get lost in the tank ?

Is the blade magnetic ?

Would recommend to try to contact the manufacturer to ask which kind of material it is.

not magnetic......is simpy a blade for the shave and a tiny fragment is now on the water. this problem has started before...

yesterday I took a new bottle of zeobak and zeostart and I'm using these since 3 days

saturday I change the zeolite and carbon yesterday

I'm dosing:
3 drop of zeobak for 10 days after the zeo change then 2 drops 2x weeks
zeostart 0,2 x 3 (usualy 0,2 x 2)
sponge 2 drops 3x week
biomate 2 drops 3x week
flatworm everyday (my shop has said to limite the loss tissue)

cyano clean 5 drops daily with 2 ml of coral snow

since 3 days I'm using a 250 gr of biophos

2 corals has died....some coral are bleaching on the base....the rest seems in good condition.....

the cyano are present only on the bottom of the tank, on the sand on on some rocks.
the smell from the water is decreasing since yesterday

do you need some picture ?

thanks, Massimo

Picture would be good is possible just to make sure those are really cyanos. Make sure that the BioPhos does not decrease your PO4 level to quick otherwise your corals might respond negative.

Default cyanos and blade..

attached the picture of the fragment of the blade lost in the tank...as you can see is really tiny...I don't know the material...

the cyanos actually are only at very bottom of the tank, on the sand and on the rocks on the sand....someday is veri few, someday much more....this mornig i took away changing the water.

Do you think can help take away from the tank changing the water ?

please help me with the dosage

thanks

I would try to find the blade, you can never be sure which kind of materials it does contain.

Can you tell me which kind of sand it is exactly ?

Hi Massimo as long as the sand you have does not leach PO4 or any other harmful substances it should be fine. Would recommend to vacuum the sand regular to remove the mulm from the deeper layers.

Have you already observed a positive response from the Snow / CyanoClean dosage ?

Just Bac and Start at the moment. If the cyanos do not return within a week you can slowly start to add the additional products step by step again.

i' ve just dosed bac everyday for ten days after the zeolite changes....
now two times a week or everyday until the cyanos have gone ?

the PO4 now are 00.4 since I used the biophos (ten days)

to low the PO4 can I try with zeo reactor 3 hours on 3 hours off ?

thanks

Lets continue to dose ZeoBac 2 x weekly and start to dose ZeoStart again. My recommendation is to start dosing ZeoStart in smaller steps increasing it slowly. 1/3 of the recommended quantity would be a good start. Keep the reactor running with continuous flow.

If you have BioMate dose 2 drops / 100 liters every other day additional for some time, might be helpful for PO4.

Actually:
zeobak 2 drops 2 for week (2 drops daily after zeolite change)
zeostart 0.4 ml daily (0.2+0.2)
sponge Monday, Wednesday, Friday
biomate Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
cyanoclean 5 drops daily mixed with 2 ml of coralsnow
flatworm 2 ml daily
zeolife 6 ml daily
zeozym 2 times weekly actually (usually one time)
A-Balance 2 ml every ten days after the initial dose

I have a biophos but tomorrow I take away

the PO4 are 0.03
nitate 0

thanks a lot friend....

this days I noticed that seriatopora istrix is darkening on the tips..like a brown film. it goes away easily if I touch.

Thank as always.
