one day after dosing dino x with the 24 hour black out , it started coming back . what i did was to siphon the algae, i blowed the sand bed to clear the dirt in the sand bed , change 10 % water , i dose a mix with 12 drop CC and 12 drops bio mate with 12 ml Coral snow. morning , i used 2 spoon ZZ with zeobak

i removed the zeolite but i have added 500ml of carbon to suck up the dino x

This after with 1 hour of full light , it did come back a little on the sand bed , i continue yesterday regime of blowing the sand bed and the cc, biomate and CS .

Alex , any thoughts ?

Can not really recommend anything, never used the product. While I had issues with Dions I removed the source of the problem which was a hose leaching any kind of harmful substances, than the Dinos went away completely within 24 hours.

It was looking like silicone just the color was blue. The hose was sold as silicon hose, it was just a short piece between the return pump and the pipes but the damage was really heavy.

I recently moved, so I removed a lot of sand. Maybe kept 20lbs. After I get back up, i added another 20lbs. Total is only a 1" sand bed, but I did replace with live sand, not dry sand. I have not had an algae breakout! I still show little signs of dinos after a few hours of lights on. But not too bad yet.
Currently I'm dealing with low Alk, mg, and ca. I added a c02 buffer and I think that the corals are absorbing more elements, so I'm in the progress of raising my levels back up. I'm still following this thread actively and can't wait for someone to break this terror.

It's not advised, but I'm doing it anyways. The extra p04 and n03 may help get rid of dinos. Yes I'm using caribsea special grade agrogate.

i have stopped changing water this week and wow . no more dino. have been using 2x dosage of coral snow with biomate every night and siphoning using a air line tube so that i would not waste so much water. orange spotted goby also help in cleaning the sand bed too .

no3 is 2.5 ppm ( salifert) po4 = 0.03 ( hanna phosphorus )

alex i have started dosing these :

Start3 - 0.6ml day and night
zeobak - 6 drop 3x per week
Zeofood - 6 drop 2 x weekly
PIF - 6 drops 2 x weekly
Sponge power – 6 drops daily
CV - 6 drops 2 x weekly
FWS - 6ml daily for 3 months just if you have issues with flatworms, otherwise 1 x weekly
Zeo life - 6ml daily
CC - 6 drops once a week
A balance - 6ml once per week
bio mate - 12 drops – daily for 2 weeks
Amino – Stop dosing it at the moment
Coral booster - 3ml - 2x per week

Then your water or the salt or the container you use to mix the water does contain anything which does feed the Dinos.

Basically if your tank is running nutrient poor stabile and corals have started to get lighter tissue while growing the dosing regimen should be fine, just recommend to dose ZeoLive 2 x weekly instead of daily.

Can not tell you much about the Coral 1-4 product, never used them but if there are not issues it should be fine also.

For sure if you have the feeling your corals will improve. 2 ml B-Balance / 25 US gallons 2 x weekly + 1 ml XTra / 25 US gallons 2 x weekly if you do not have algae or cyano issues and if your system is running nutrient poor stabile.
