kind question: am seeing dino x and cyano medication. do you use these products? if you have used them how often? and how did you use them in zeo system? am always interested in ways to treat cyano which appear every now and then in zeo systems in general.

many thanks

hi and tank u
usualy zeovit systems are clean and algealess and low nutrient tanks.... but when something starts to grow in in zeovit u have to control it becaus u add many additives daily and they start to use them....like other living thing in the tank...

dino X will stop dinoflaglate if u clean as much as u can befor the dosage....
cyano clean is a killer i love this one...
and bouth are reef safe and i used them in zeovit many times....

Stunning corals, another beautiful tank from iran. Will take your advice with dinox as i was a bit scared to use as my coral is growing very well and didnt want to damage, but after seeing your photos its clearly not hurt yours- did you remove zeolite during treatment?

Thankt for the reply, how about the cyano rx i saw in your pic.
Do you use it with zeovit?
Have you used chemi clean?
Any change you do during treatments like carbon removal and/or changing the zeo dosing?
Anything you do after treatment?
How many times you needed to do treatments so far?

I have been on zeovit for almost 3 years now and did not see a real benefit of cyano clean when cyano start to show up, so am trying to learn from you how to control cyano

Well i had this problem few times in the system....
With dino and cyano...

For dino the best result that i saw with cleaning the tank az dosage of dino x fauna marin...
First i cleaned all of them in system
Then i used dino x
Some say if u clean dino it will cover all 5he tank and it is true... but in this stage cleaning is befor the dosage of a dino x and it will help it to effect faster.....

For cyano i realy dont see a problem.
Yes it comes and goes but i control it with cyano clean kz.
When it goes crazy in tank ( u can see it on sands ) i use red cyano RX of blue life and in 5 days i dont see any of it at all for few mounths....

But my tank is 1.2 year old and in first year u might see these problems ... after the first year in low nutreint zeovit system you dont often see this problems....

But these products will do the job every time....

thank you for the kind reply, all such information's are so helpful to the community.
am surprised with your success with cyano clean, I have been on Zeo for 2 years now, every now and then I get cyano and I was never successful treating it with cyano clean, never. this is also report across the community, once cyano on the sand, no zeo product have shown robust results across enough systems.
I ended up doing like you where I use chemi clean to treat the cyano and buy myself couple of months before it shows up again.
the only difference is that when I use the chmi clean, I remove my zeo reactor with the rocks form the system to avoid killing all the bacteria, then after treatment is done and water change I put back carbon and the zeo reactor and do mini cycle (10 days ZB) to jump start the system.
this is because most of the cyano treatments will have some antibiotics even though it will be claimed on the package that they do not
its interesting that you do not need to do anything when you use cyano Rx.
would you mind sharing with us your parameters (NO3/PO4/K+/CA/Alk/Mag) and dosing scheme?
also would you mind showing us whats under the hood of your incredible system.
congrats again for the beautiful setup and success you have.

so you are saying beside turn off skimmer and remove carbon everything stays the same in term of zeo dosing and zeolite usage? you did not see an impact on the system like mini cycle or new tank syndrome after usage?
