Your just going to have to put up with it. Your keeping some big fish like that foxface.
I had to clean my glass just as much when I had one.

The foxface and melanrus are the only large fish, the others are all under 3" total of 8 fish. More interested in being proactive, see what I can tweak if my dosage is off, or add biomate ect.

Have you added those coral branches recently ? They are looking very clean for a tank which is running until 2 month.

Cleaning the rocks manually or in any other way (chemicals / tap water etc.) is something I would not recommend. You will destroy the biofilm which does cover each surface which gives space to grow different kind of algae before the biofilm is intact again. The biofilm will prevent algae growth.

Would recommend you to give the system time, I am sure this will get fixed by itself over the time.

I've discontinued cleaning rock surface

Now getting a brown/red film on the water surface, also the glass is getting worse, pics are 24 hours after a zeolite change and water change by sand siphon and glass cleaning and coral snow every other day. nitrate at 1, 0 phosphate.

pics of film on surface tank has snow cloudiness.

Torch coral has turned almost all white, the rest seem ok

Just curious if it seems normal, in a day i can barely see inside the tank now

Is the water clear or cloudy, what is your dosing regimen at the moment ?

It's clear as far as I can tell the glass is always dirty. There was some coral snow in pictures.
.4 ml x2 start daily
5 drops back x2 week
Snow .5 ml 3x week
Sponge power 4 drops 1x week

Would recommend you to do some changes to see if this does help:

0.25 ml x2 start daily
4 drops back x2 week
Snow 8 ml daily
Sponge power 4 drops every other day

Lets try this for one week while keeping a eye on the PO4 level.

The film has receded about 50%, it is now needing a cleaning every 3 days so it's tolerable. Phosphate still at 0, nitrate at 1.

Wondering if I should continue to dose the same amounts other than the snow ?

Lets adjust the dosing regimen a little bit:

0.25 ml x2 start daily
4 drops back x2 week
Snow 4 ml every other day
Sponge power 4 drops every other day

Next step in about a week or so would be increase ZeoStart step by step slowly to 2 x 0.4 ml / daily and reducing Snow to 4 ml 2 x weekly to see if the algae do increase again.
