Hello, Lionfishes7. I think it should be a typo, sponge power
Intended use: increase sponge growth
Positive results: enhance coral growth, increase tissue, increase sponge growth
OD symptoms: brown film.

You can start 2 or 3 times a week.

Starting from the source: Additional vacuuming of the sand can be done each time the water is changed to remove deposits from the deep sand layer. This may speed up the process.
In addition, adjusting the skimmer to remove more moist cleaners per day can also support this process.

@Also received an email from Spinge Power to help me lower my No3?
A:Starting with reduced nutrients Zeolite flow per hour / 300 ~ 400 liters

It is clear from the KZ guide that the new version uses Spong power, which is great if you use live rock.

Sand = Zeo Coral snow, Live rock = Zeo Zym
Both remove organic matter, but the media is different.

Back to KZ First Course: Starting with reduced nutrients, the right amount of zeolite/quantity, Zeo bac, SP, Start3, activated carbon. Siphon sand, weekly WC, Skimmer is more wet, I believe it will be improved.

And keep everything in order to stabilize the water. Please use zeolite again to confirm K+~380.

You can dose ZeoZym 2 x weekly (1/2 spoon) additional if you like to. It will not be a “quick fix” for the NO3 but it will improve the systems biology. Make sure to soak it in some tank water for a couple of hours before adding it to the tank. You can also switch off the skimmer for two hours while dosing temporary to keep the “substances” for additional time in the system before it is skimmed out. You can also dose SpongePower additional @ 3 drops every other day. It will also stabilize the biology.

Hey guys I am coming up to phase 3 of the system. My nitrates are still a bit high but I do see it dropping. What should I do now to start phase 3?

Basically it depends to your corals. If they are growing well, showing polyp expansion and getting lighter it might make sense to start dosing some additional coloration elements.

Can you post some actual pictures of your corals and your full dosing regimen ?

Pictures are very blue, would you rate the tissue coloration and corals color being light or dark ?

Do you like to improve any special color like blue, green etc.

Hello Lionfishes7, it is recommended that you start with K+, and the K+ level is usually 380. It may be better to supplement it with low malnutrition water.

@ Using Salifert, my No3 is 10ppm, this is a contradiction. Usually Salifert test doses N and P, the water sample should be transparent, especially if we keep sps, if some micro colors are usually too high It is.

Usually, most people who do not reduce NO3 are not worried. It is not a difficult problem. Instead, it is more difficult to reduce PO4. Maybe you can try to discuss whether the use of KZ basic balance is appropriate.

This is just my idea, I don't know if it is right, provide some opinions.

When the coral is in low malnutrition, the tissue becomes lighter and better PE and grows, this time is the time to properly supplement the food, this time enters the first phase of Zeo. You can start with Zeo CV and you can see the different changes and colors of corals from Zeo CV alone.

Then the Zeo AA.Xtra supplement is adjusted with the appearance of the coral

The supplement of the above nutrients needs to be established in a low-nutrition environment. It is better to make full use of corals.

Take a look at it.

Ok so I can stop dosing Zeo Food7 and replace it with Coral Vitalizer? My phosphates are 0.19 using Hanna Checker. Also I still have small amount of brown film on the bottom of the glass.

When there is a PO4 of 0.19, I will not add any supplements. I suggest you read G. for your advice.

Take the foundation of KZ and change the water to siphon the vacuum sand.

My last test of Po4 from my hanna checker had a high reading because of old Reagents. Once replaced by reading went down.
