Default New guy here looking for help

I just started my tank on the full zeovit system and I am looking for dosing help.
My system has been up for about 13 months now I've been doing the zeovit for about 1 week now. The Question I have is, do I dose/can I dose zeobak and zeostart at the same time one right after the other next to the reactor pump?
Thanks

G.Alexander
1. Gross water volume of your complete system (incl. sump etc.) - US gallons / UK gallons / liter
2. Net water volume (incl. sump etc.) - US gallons / UK gallons / liter around 135G with sump
3. Are you using a CaCO2 reactor or other technique NO
4. Are you using a PO4 reactor (how long, how long ago, etc.) i was took it off line when i started Zeovit
5. Are you using Ozone NO
6. Are you using UV NO
7. What skimmer are you using (type, rated water volume) Skimz SM163
8. What are your actual PO4 and NO3 levels i dont know i stoped checking because it always came out 0 i used hanna for PO4 and Salifert for NO3
9. What are your actual Ca, Alk and Mg levels CA 460ppm Salifert ALK 8.9dkh Hanna Mg 1350ppm Salifert
10. What filtration method do you use (refugium, DSB, Miracle Mud, etc.) i took my reactor off line i was GFO/Carbon and i still have a small Refugium with some live rock and some chaeto. i have 2 cups Carbon in a filter bag now.
11. Type of light (Watt, color temp, how old, etc.) Radion G4 pros
12. What corals do you keep mostly SPS frags 1 frogspawn and some zoanthids
13. Tissue color (light or dark) hard to say some light some dark
14. How long has the tank been running the tank has been up for 14 months now
15. Why do you want to use the ZEOvit system i have seen the tanks and i with to achieve the same thing (color & grouth etc.)
16. Any supplemental dosing (type, amount, why, etc.)
17. Live rock (how much, how old, etc.) 140lb. 14 months old it was real reef rock dry
18. Any present problems small spots of cyano here and there no real big deal yet.
19. Problem description (tissue loss tips, tissue loss base, diatom bloom, algae, etc.) some RTN at base of some coral
20. What test kit do you use (how old, recently switched, etc.) Salifert and Hanna
21. Present dosing, amounts and intervals (ZEOvit, ZEObak, ZEOfood, ZEOstart, ZEOspur2, etc.)
1l zeolit flow 50gph 24/7 i tried 3 on and off it made my ATO stop working
Zeobak 5 drops a day
Zeostart .5ml 2x a day
Spongepower 5 drops every other day

Thank you for the details, basically your dosing regimen is fine, around week 2 continue dosing as follows:

ZeoBac – 5 drops 2 x weekly
ZeoStart – 0.5 ml 2 x daily
SpongePower – 5 drops every other day

Also slowly increase the reactor flow to ~ 100 US gallons slowly step by step once your corals are doing fine and just if TN has stopped. The ZeoVit quantity you use is still lower than recommended so maybe it makes sense to increase it a little bit later if there are any kind of nutrient issues.

Usually while the transfer it is better to remove the PO4 absorber slowly step by step over a couple of month to prevent a increase of PO4 as the system need some time until it does start to process nutrients. As you already have removed it lets check PO4 regular over the next couple of weeks.

Basic water parameters looking good except KH, try to keep them as stabile as possible close the NSW in the following ranges:

KH 6.5 – 7.5
Ca 400 – 420 mg
Mg 1250 – 1300 mg
K+ ~ 380 mg

For a nutrient poor environment K+ (potassium) seems to be a important element. I would recommend you to get a test kit for this element also, posting your results.

1)i just did a NO3 (salifert) & a PO4 (Hanna) both are undetectable
2)i do have a Potassium test kit i was going to wait about a month to give the system a little time to set in, or should i test now and start dosing Potassium Iodide Fluoride Concentrate?
3)when my cyano clears up i wanted to start dosing zeofood 7 what would be a good starting point
4) in one month it is suggested i change out the zeolit rocks when i do this do i change out 100%?
thanks for the help

Potassium Iodide Fluoride Concentrate does contain some potassium but the quantity which is contained in the product is to low to have any impact to the level of your system. If you need to supplement this element my first choice would be K-Balance Strong.

A good start for ZeoFood would be 4 or 5 drops 2 x weekly.

For every rock exchange just replace 90% of the material and keep 10% of the old material in the reactor. This speeds up the bacteria colonization of the fresh material. Also after each exchange dose ZeoBac daily for 10 days.

So I checked my potassium (salifert) and it was 370 after water change I stated dosing zeofood 5 drops x2 a week, is there anything else I should be looking at or dosing?
Thanks

At the moment no additional products should be necessary if everything works as planned.

I was under the impression there are corals in the system already ?

Usually if your older corals are doing fine and if the water parameters are stabile within the recommended ranges it might be a good time to add a new test fragment now.

I would add two or three different test corals which have good coloration. If those corals are doing fine over the next couple of weeks you might begin to add additional ones step by step.
