I can not really see it clear in the pictures but those are two possibilities:

Thank you Alexander, I'm getting some more algae on the rocks is that normal?
Since I have started the zeovit method 2 fish died, I have nothing else changed. The only good thing is that the corals do get better coloration but that's all, no good growth at all.

Hopefully you can help me. Sorry for the bad quality picture.

Jordi

Can you remove the rock and spray it down with 3% perxoide.

Bugger, I can not take it out.

Alexander, I only have 2 snails who did the job before I did switch to zeovit but probably isn't enough at the moment. What would you recommend for my system?

I would add 5 or 6 additional turbo snails, they should get rid of the algae within a short time.

Here are some water parameters from tonight's testing, hopefully the nitrates and phosphate will drop within the next few weeks.

Kh 7.3
Ca 450
Mg 1300
K+ 410
P03 0.75
P04 0.08

Hello Alexander,

Is it normal that the glass gets this much algae on it after not even 1 day? Also the sand bed is turning green after 1 day.
I'm only dosing:
Zeostart 0.3 ml 2x daily
Zeobac 3 drops per day

As long as it does not get worse I would not do anything. It should disappear later if the system runs nutrient poor stabile.

Almost 2 week into the zeovit program and my PO3 level is rising, last week it was 0.75 and now it is 2 ppm is this normal?
After 2 weeks I have to dose ZEObac only for 2-3 times a week is that right? What would you recommend, 2 or 3 times? Do I need to change the reactor flow or just let it run on 50% for some more weeks? Do I need to start to dose some other products?

Sorry for this much questions but just want to do it the right way.

Jordi

Hello Jordi, you are right, reduce ZeoBac after 2 weeks to 2 x weekly.

The increase of NO3 is minimal so I would not care much about it at the moment. Additional products are not really necessary at the moment so I would recommend to wait until using them.

Just to be sure, what is the actual flow of your zeovit reactor and how much of the material do you use ? Do you run the reactor with continuous flow or with the interval ?

Thank you Alexander, I'm running the reactor at a continuous flow at 160 liter per hour with 0.8 liter of zeolites. I can not do the 3 hour on 3 hour off because the zeolites will be exposed to air when switched off.

Hello Jordi, I see, thank you.

I would recommend to keep the lower flow. Do a 90% ZeoVit exchange if the first 4 weeks have passed, than wait additional 2 weeks. Than I would recommend to increase the reactor flow to the recommended in two steps over a couple of days while observing the corals closely.
